Tatum O'Neal was in virtually every scene of "Paper Moon," but Oscar voters almost always slot kids into the supporting race, just because of their size. O'Neal, who was 10 when she captured the Oscar in 1973, remains the youngest person to win in any category. The youngest best-actress winner is Marlee Matlin, who was 21 when she prevailed for "Children of a Lesser God" in 1986.
