Three comedic geniuses director Blake Edwards, Cary Grant and Tony Curtis team up for this rib-tickling 1959 service farce. The film revolves the strait-laced skipper (Grant) of the World War II submarine Sea Tiger, which is nearly destroyed during the early days of the war. He wants to sail the ship to Australia for repairs so the vessel can return to combat. Tony Curtis, who had decided to become an actor after seeing Grant in the 1944 submarine thriller Destination Tokyo, plays his wild and crazy supply officer. Curtis bit with the pig is a highlight. Along the way to Australia, they end up having to share the sub with a bevy of Army nurses.
