By Gina McIntyre, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer Even die-hard fans of "The X-Files" might not recall exactly what happened when the show ended back in 2002. But series creator Chris Carter insists that it isn't necessary to remember that, say, aliens are planning to invade our planet in 2012. What's more important, he says, is the relationship between special agents Mulder and Scully. With that in mind, Carter and his producing partner Frank Spotnitz chose eight episodes for a new DVD, "The X-Files: Revelations" that recaps the evolution of their partnership.
