'Superman III' (1983) After battling villainous genius Lex Luthor and three goons from Krypton, the "Superman" franchise was flying high. So it was heartbreaking when producers felt the need to play up the series' humor by casting controversial comedian Richard Pryor in the third installment. Imagine "Spider-Man 3" palling around with Jon Stewart. Or the X-Men teaming up with Bill Maher. Good comedians, bad pairing.
