Johnny Depp received a nomination for a lead actor Oscar in 2008 for "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," but was bested by Daniel Day-Lewis in "There Will Be Blood." Three years earlier, Depp was nominated for a lead actor Oscar in 2005 for "Finding Neverland," but lost to Jamie Foxx in "Ray." And in 2004, Depp earned a nomination for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," the first in the "Pirates" series, but was outdone by Sean Penn in "Mystic River."
