Rounding out the ASC nominees were first-timers Oscar Faura for "The Imitation Game" and Robert D. Yeoman for "The Grand Budapest Hotel."

"These nominees represent a fabulous slate selected from a particularly rich field of work this year," said ASC president Richard Crudo in a statement Wednesday.

The winner will be announced at the ASC's awards ceremony on Feb. 15 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.
