“Tracks” stars Wasikowska as Robyn Davidson, a young woman who, in 1977, left behind her city life for a journey of self-discovery trekking with a dog and four camels across almost 2,000 miles of Australian desert. Driver plays Rick Smolan, a National Geographic photographer Robyn encounters on her journey who begins to photograph her travels.

“The response to this film out of Venice and Telluride was nothing short of astounding, and is well-deserved,” said Weinstein Co. Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein in a statement.

A U.S. release date has not been announced.
