Neuroticism loves company in Woody Allen's comic tale about comedian Alvy (Allen) who falls for singer Annie Hall (Diane Keaton). Why it failed/how they broke up: That's exactly the question Alvy is trying to answer throughout the film, reminiscing on the ups and downs of their coupling. The rollicking moments they share in bed or boiling lobsters are undermined by arguments and tension. Separate discussions with their therapists help convince them that their relationship isn't working, and despite Alvy's attempt to save their romance with a surprise proposal, they go their separate ways.
