When is Adele going to stop winning things? (This is a trick question -- she won’t)

It’s number 10 for “25.”

With sales of 81,000 copies and more than 8 million streams, according to Nielsen Music, the latest blockbuster album by the British singer Adele topped the Billboard 200 chart for the 10th time, the trade magazine announced this week.

Only four other albums have spent at least as long at No. 1 since 2000: “1989” and “Fearless,” both by Taylor Swift; the “Frozen” soundtrack; and -- hey, what do you know? -- Adele’s previous record, “21,” which came out in 2011 and spent 24 weeks as the country’s biggest seller.

“25” was released in November and so far has sold more than 8.3 million copies in the United States alone. (“21” has sold 11 million.)

In other Adele news, the singer launched a world tour Monday night in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where her concert at the SSE Arena reportedly mixed “25” tracks such as “Hello,” “All I Ask” and “A Million Years Ago” with older songs like “Don’t You Remember” and “Rolling in the Deep.”

Writing in the New York Times, Jon Pareles called the show, which had Adele admitting to her stage fright, “a pop triumph immediately brought to earth by shared human frailty.” (In other words, it was textbook Adele.)

The singer’s tour will spend the next few months crisscrossing Europe before reaching the U.S. in July. In August, Adele is scheduled to play six sold-out shows at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Last week, at London’s Brit Awards, the singer scooped up four trophies -- including album of the year for “25” -- and performed her new single “When We Were Young.”
