Cashmere Cat, Thomas Jack headline Splash House festival

Share

The Palm Springs dance music mini-festival Splash House will return this year for two summer installments in June and August.

The fest, produced by local promoter Tyler McLean along with the Goldenvoice-affiliated EDM firm LED, will bring a bevy of house, techno and neo-disco acts to three hotel pool lounges: the Saguaro, Hacienda Beach Club and Palm Spring Hilton.

The lineups have always been a well-curated slice of summery, pool-appropriate dance acts, and this year’s is no exception. Rising producers and DJs like Cashmere Cat, RAC, Thomas Jack and Justin Jay will headline the June 13-14 edition; Tokimonsta, Yolanda Be Cool and No Regular Play are among the top acts for Aug. 8-9.

Past performers have included Coachella dance-tent staples like Chromeo and Cut Copy, and some of the earliest U.S. festival sets from stars such as Flume and Kygo.

Alongside the actual festival, the free shuttle buses that schlep fans from pool to pool have become a main dance-party attraction in their own right -- a rare fest where getting in and out can be as entertaining as being there.

Tickets for each start at $115, with hotel packages starting at $180. If you need a vacation from the prospect of hitting up Coachella, EDC, Rock in Rio and HARD all in one summer, there will be a deck chair and a margarita waiting.
