Cee Lo Green announces plans for three albums

Who needs sleep when you’re Cee Lo Green?

Fresh off a recently wrapped Las Vegas residency, the multi-hyphenate performer announced plans for a new album -- three of them, actually.

Green revealed in an interview with Billboard that the highly anticipated return of his crew Goodie Mob, “Age Against the Machine,” will arrive in stores on Aug. 27

The influential hip-hop group hasn’t released a project since 2004’s “One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show,” which didn’t feature Green, who had exited to pursue his solo career.

Goodie Mob reunited in 2007 -- after resolving some serious interpersonal beef -- and have often accompanied him on the road.

“Age Against the Machine” is the first album to feature the entire group since 1999.

The singer is also hard at work on the followup to his breakout “The Lady Killer,” and he’s linked back up with Danger Mouse for the first new Gnarls Barkley album in more than five years.

Green went on to say he hoped to tour in support of all three of his brands.

But how will he balance multiple projects with his expected return to “The Voice” this fall and his Vegas show, “Cee Lo Green Is Loberace,” which was renewed for another block of shows starting in October?

Green didn’t seem too sure, but the balancing act would make for a great reality show. Good thing he inked a deal for a series that’s expected to premiere on TBS sometime next year and will follow his jam-packed life.
