After the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival expanded to two weekends a couple of years ago, many bands capitalized on the gap days by playing extra shows around L.A. and Indio, Calif. Now, EDM promoters LED are getting some of the fest’s marquee dance artists in on the act too.

The San Diego promotion firm (now partners with Goldenvoice) has booked Coachella dance headliners including Skrillex, Martin Garrix and Disclosure for daytime dates at the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs.

The LED Day Club pop-up at the hotel will host shows Thursday through Sunday during both weekends of Coachella, and will include other major acts such as Tiësto and David Guetta as well.

TIMELINE: Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals

LED began in 2009 as an independent dance music promotion firm in San Diego. It now puts on more than 300 shows a year along with many area festivals, such as OMFG! NYE, in conjunction with Goldenvoice.

While Coachella has never lacked for DJ-centric day parties in Indio and Palm Springs, this marks the first year that the fest’s top-billed dance acts will play formal Goldenvoice-sanctioned showcases in the area.
