The 21-year-old electro pop singer Sky Ferreira might be enjoying her “Night Time, My Time” a little too much.

The singer was arrested Saturday in Saugerties, N.Y., after a rough weekend with her boyfriend, Zachary Cole Smith of post-punks DIIV. The two face a bevy of charges ranging from heroin possession to driving with stolen license plates.

As noted by Spin and Pitchfork, the police blotter of the local newspaper, the Daily Freeman, noted that Ferreira is facing “misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest,” with the substance reported to be Ecstasy. She’s set to release her long-awaited major label debut, “Night Time, My Time,” on Capitol on Oct. 29.

The 28-year-old Smith is up against a range of midemeanors, including, as the paper put it, “two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of aggravated unlicensed driving.”

On top of an outstanding traffic and vehicle warrant, Smith’s car was found to have stolen license plates. Additionally, he’s looking at vehicle violations, including “unregistered motor vehicle, driving without insurance, unlicensed driver, and having an inadequate exhaust system.”

Inside the car, police reportedly found a bag containing “42 decks of heroin.” The two were taken to the Ulster county jail in lieu of bail. Smith wrote on DIIV’s Twitter account that “what you’re reading is a police blotter, not the outcome of a court case. these cops wanted to ... us, and they did. sky did nothing wrong.”

Fix your exhaust systems and don’t do heroin, kids.
