With just over a week until the release of "Prism,"
For "Roar," the new disc's lead single, Perry converted the "SNL" stage into a leafy jungle like the one featured in the song's video, while her band donned animal costumes straight out of some 4-year-old's birthday party.
Later in the show (which was hosted by Bruce Willis), she traded the palm trees for flowing white curtains that gave the set something of a late-'80s/early-'90s nightclub look -- appropriate for the openly Technotronic-like vibe of "Walking on Air," one of two additional songs (along with "Dark Horse") that Perry has released ahead of "Prism's" scheduled arrival on Oct. 22.
