First, Kurt Cobain gives MTV execs heart palpitations with a false-start of the verboten "Rape Me," then he leads his band through a hard-hitting version of "Lithium." But the finest moments are reserved for the song's end when bassist Krist Novoselic flings his bass into the air at the 4:13 mark, only to conk himself square on the head on its way back down (note his staggering off the set immediately afterward).
