Guns N’ Roses offer a welcome back to the jungle as San Diego return looms

Share

Is Guns N’ Roses temporarily downsizing?

Last year, after concluding the first leg of its very lucrative “Not In This Lifetime” reunion tour, which included a sold-out August show at Qualcomm Stadium, the hard-rocking band added more dates and now has European stadium shows set for 2018.

But GNR’s U.S. fall tour finds the Axl Rose-led band playing in arenas, including their “An Evening With” show at Valley View Casino Center next Tuesday, Nov. 28.

It’s unclear if there will be a surprise guest star (Dave Grohl and Pink have had cameos at recent GNR concerts).

What will really be surprising, though, is if this chronically tardy band takes the stage anywhere close to the San Diego show’s scheduled 7 p.m. start time, even without an opening act.

Bets, anyone?

Guns ‘N Roses: 7 p.m. Tuesday. Valley View Casino Center, 3500 Sports Arena Blvd., Midway District. $69-$250. (619) 224-4171 or axs.com.
