Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum set for Country Megaticket at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre

Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Dierks Bentley are some of the artists who will perform at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre as part of the San Diego venue’s annual Country Megaticket.

The discounted concert package, which is billed this year as the KSON Country Megaticket Presented by Pennzoil, is offering deals for six concerts between June and October at the largest outdoor concert site in San Diego County.

The Megaticket includes tickets and parking for each of the six concerts. Reserved-seat tickets will be available in the 100 and 300 sections of the venue, along with unreserved seats in the lawn area at the rear of Mattress Firm Amphitheatre.

The prices are $695 for the section 100 Megaticket package (which is $100 less than last year), $349 for the section 300 Megaticket package and $249 for the lawn area package ($24 more than last year).

Individual ticket prices have not yet been disclosed. However, as a frame of reference, prices per package for last year’s Country Megaticket packages at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre ranged from $225 to $795 each, plus service charges.

The 2018 Country Megaticket will have a considerably shorter window than in previous years. The multiple-concert ticket package will be available for only one month, with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m. to the general public and continuing through Feb. 24, at livenation.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

A number of pre-sales will also be held this week. More information is available below.

In order, the six Country Megaticket concerts are:

June 21: Kenny Chesney, with Old Dominion

July 20: Brad Paisley, with Dan Tyminski

Aug. 25: Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker, with Russell Dickerson

Sept. 14: Rascal Flatts, with Dan + Shay

Sept. 20: Jason Aldean, with Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina

Oct. 12: Dierks Bentley, with Lanco.

A pre-sale for previous Country Megaticket buyers will run from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 10 p.m. Thursday.

Pre-sales also will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday for Citi card holders and by Live Nation, KSON and Ticketmaster.

After attending San Diego City College and San Diego State University, he created and taught the 2002 UC San Diego Extension course, “Jazz in a Post-Ken-Burns World.” Varga has written liner notes for more than a dozen albums, including by jazz sax greats James Moody and Michael Brecker, and contributed two chapters to the book, “Dylan: Disc By Disc.”
