Mexican pop-rock superstars Gloria Trevi and Alejandra Guzmán are bringing their “VERSUS World Tour” back to the United States for its final leg.

Their joint concert trek will kick off March 7 at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, and conclude April 14 at the Hollywood Bowl. It includes an April 13 concert at San Diego State University’s Viejas Arena. All tour dates and ticket information appear below.

Prior to teaming up last year, Trevi — known as “the Mexican Madonna” — and Guzmán — known as the “Queen of Mexican Rock” — have long been seen as envelope-pushing rivals. Starting in the 1990s, both smashed stereotypes by embracing their sexuality and breaking the mold for polite, cookie-cutter female pop singers in Mexico.

Last June, Trevi and Guzmán became the first two Mexican female performers to sell out two shows at the nearly 20,000-capacity Staples Center in Los Angeles. Their 2017 album, “VERSUS,” was an international hit that included their Spanish-language version of the Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction,” a song Trevi previously covered on her 2011 album, “Gloria,” and her 1989 debut album, “...Qué Hago Aquí?” (“What Am I Doing Here?”).

If nothing else, the unexpected touring and recording partnership between Trevi and Guzmán is a canny marketing move — perhaps akin to Taylor Swift and Katy Perry burying their differences to mount a tour together.

Unlike Swift or Perry, however, Trevi became pregnant and gave birth while being held in a high-security Brazilian prison and was later extradited to Mexico.

She was in prison — first in Brazil, then Mexico — from 2000 to 2004. Her incarceration followed charges that she and her then-manager/boyfriend had corrupted minors and committed sexual abuse and kidnapping. Trevi was ultimately acquitted, while her former boyfriend and manager received an eight-year sentence.

Tickets for the concluding U.S. leg of Trevi and Guzmán’s “VERSUS” tour go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Jan. 19 at livenation.com and ticketmaster.com. There will be at least six pre-sales, including for fan club members and Citi card holders.

Ticket prices for Trevi and Guzmán’s April 13 San Diego concert start at $39.95 and go up to $500, which may be a record for any show at that venue.
