Starting in the late '90s, Pattinson spent his tween and early teen years as a male model -- a gig that might have been made all the easier since his mom Clare worked for a modeling agency.
Over time, though, he said his "masculine looks" (which are seen in full abundance in this 2011 photo) made the jobs dry up. In 2008, he told British magazine Closer, "When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modelling career." |
