"Twilight" fans knew what they wanted in Edward Cullen -- a dark, handsome, brooding type with a sweet side -- and Pattinson did not disappoint. The Brit landed the role of a lifetime when Summit cast him as the vegetarian vampire who falls for the new girl at school, Bella Swan. Given the pure pandemonium he caused at Comic-Con appearances and premieres, it is clear the role catapulted him to stardom.
