Money, Money and More Money…

Kylie, 10

St. James School

Torrance

Money is funny, money is honey, money is happiness, when the day is sunny.

Sometimes I'm lonely, sometimes I'm sad. But when I have some nickels, what could be bad?

Money can get some people into court for a crime. But what could be better than a small silver dime?

Some people are named Lucy and Lenny. But wouldn't it be great, if your name was Penny?

You might get allowances, or a job with nice pay, coins jingling in your pockets, to spend, eat and play.

Money can come in silver, or copper or gold. But ones made of paper, still never get old.

Be careful with your money, less spending, more nap. Because if you like it too much, it will go away in a "snap!"

Money, money! Gallons and crates, towers up higher than dad's stack of pancakes. Money is nice, mostly helpful and kind, but if you drop it, we hope we will find!

But money isn't everything, than family, friends and pets. But please, oh please, mommy! Can I make one more bet?

Tribal Storm

Sydney, 12

Magic Pen Kids

Irvine

Dancing lights bang their drums as Mother Nature swirls in her dress of wind and leaves. She strikes the clouds with her lightning finger and the celebration commences. The thunder beats, as the rain sings, a sky of endless melody. The sharp strike of lightning provides the final beat of tribal song.

The Unicorn

Jojo, 8

Joseph Arnold Elementary

Torrance

I met a unicorn, yes I did. The unicorn didn't like the rain, so it got rid of it. Now there are no more rainbows.
