"The Tale of Despereaux"

Kate DiCamillo

I like this book because the main character is way different from other mice. He also has many long and fun adventures.

A mouse named Despereaux loves a princess named Pea. He talks to the princess so the other mice send him to the dungeon. I thought Despereaux was going to die. Instead the jailer freed him, so Despereaux goes off the talk to the princess.
