The brass section acknowledges the audience's applause during a performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, or the "Symphony of a Thousand," at the Shrine Auditorium. Gustavo Dudamel conducted the combined Los Angeles Philharmonic and Venezuela's Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra along with 16 local choral groups and eight vocal soloists.
