Sure, the new Leighton Meester-Minka Kelly thriller "The Roommate" -- about a college freshman who finds that her new randomly assigned bunk mate isn't so keen on, well, personal space -- might have scores of high school seniors anxiously demanding single dwellings for next year. (That's Meester on the left, Kelly on the right.) But anyone who's locked themselves out of their dorm room after a long night or tried their luck answering a Craigslist ad, only to stumble upon a swank beach-side bungalow, can attest, even the worst roommate might come in handy some time.
