'Star Wars' returning to the silver screen

A new "Star Wars" trilogy is destined for theaters after <a href="http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/cotown/la-et-ct-disney-lucasfilm-20121030,0,3821750.story" target="_blank">Disney announced Oct. 30, 2012</a>, that it was buying Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion.

"Star Wars: Episode 7" is targeted to open in 2015, with Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy serving as executive producer.
