'The Muppet Movie'
|
|
( Los Angeles Times archive ) Jim Henson directed the Muppets in their big-screen debut, "The Muppet Movie," in 1979. The movie, which revealed how Kermit first met the rest of the Muppets, was a critical and box office hit, opening the door for more Muppet movies. The opportunity led Henson to shut down production of "The Muppet Show" and concentrate on films, the first of which was "The Great Muppet Caper" in 1981. |
