British comedian Russell Brand went to town on the wholesome Jonas Brothers during Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, ribbing them throughout the show about the "purity rings" they wear symbolizing chastity. But the boys aren't the only young stars who have talked up "saving themselves" in the name of a little publicity. Jordin Sparks Luckily for the Jonas Brothers, Jordin Sparks -- " American Idol" champ, similar Radio Disney benefactor, and fellow purity ring-wearing virgin -- came to the boys' defense during the show. "It's not bad to wear a promise ring because not everybody, guy or girl, wants to be a slut," Sparks said during the VMAs. After the show, she told a reporter that she didn't feel bad for what she had said, but "didn't mean to offend anybody if I did....
