Six-time Oscar-nominated writer/director Jim Sheridan ("My Left Foot," "In the Name of the Father," "In America") helms this adaptation by David Benioff ("The Kite Runner") of Susanne Bier's 2004 Dutch-language film. One brother -- Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal ("Brokeback Mountain") -- takes care of the other's (Tobey Maguire) wife (Natalie Portman) a little too well when he goes off to war in Iraq.
