( MGM ) Italian filmmaker Sergio Leone saw success with his previous westerns "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More," but this one is considered his masterpiece. American actor Clint Eastwood became a star playing "The Man With No Name" in this trilogy that was noted for its oversized action, distinctive Ennio Morricone music and notable direction. Leone has said he was attempting to reinvigorate the then-tired western genre with tongue-in-cheek, exaggerated violence. |
