Paring the two-time Oscar winning Hanks and the former stand-up comic and sitcom star Allen could have been disastrous. But leave it to Pixar's John Lasseter to take the chance and cast these two as the lead voices in the 1995 animated classic and the 1999 sequel. Hanks brings a lovability and innocence to his role as Woody, a toy cowboy who is young Andy's favorite plaything until the boy is given the super cool Buzz Lightyear action figure. Allen perfectly captures the character's massive ego -- "To infinity and beyond!" -- without losing Buzz's vulnerability.
