No, it's not the James Cameron-directed Oscar winner in this case. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ocean liner's legendary sinking, this British-Canadian-Hungarian production - televised in America by ABC recently - boasts the writing talent of Julian Fellowes ("Downton Abbey").
Linus Roache plays an earl traveling in first class with his wife and daughter (Geraldine Somerville, Perdita Weeks) when an iceberg interferes with the ship's maiden voyage. Toby Jones ("My Week With Marilyn") and David Calder ("The World Is Not Enough") also appear, and since every Titanic dramatization needs its "unsinkable" Molly Brown, Linda Kash has the role here. *** (Not rated: AS, V) (Also on Blu-ray)
