<b>White hat:</b> Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant), left, is a morally challenged adulterer and Montana marshal who leaves his job to start an honest hardware business in the gold-mining camp of Deadwood, S.D. He also becomes the camp's sheriff. In Deadwood, he finds a rough bunch of gun-slinging swindlers and gold-crazed miners — each one hungrier and meaner than the next.
