Content has tapped Caity Lotz and Toby Stephens to play the lead roles in sci-fi action thriller "The Machine."
Pic will be directed by Caradog James ("Little White Lies"). John Giwa-Amu from Red and Black Films produces while Content's Jamie Carmichael is exec producer.
Shooting will start July 23 in Cardiff, Wales.
Story is set in the near future with Britain's Ministry of Defense on the verge of developing a robotic soldier. A bug in the programming causes the prototype to destroy the lab and everyone in its path.
Red and Black Films developed the project with the Film Agency for Wales, Ruby Moon Ltd., Graham Associates, the Ideas Factory and Welsh Assembly Government. Content is selling the film worldwide.
Lotz is represented by UTA, Caliber Media and attorney Jeremy Tenser. Stephens is represented by United Agents.
