LONDON -- Brit indie distrib Metrodome Distribution has acquired U.K. and Ireland rights for horror pic "The Reverend."
Pic, which will have a limited theatrical run in Blighty from Aug. 3, is helmed and penned by Neil Jones, and sees an alcoholic uncle try to put aside his bitter family arguments before it is too late.
Pic stars Rutger Hauer and Tammar Hassan.
Deal was negotiated by Metrodome head of acquisitions Joel Kennedy, acquisitions manager Giles Edwards and the film's producers Jones and Stuart Brennan.
Metrodome will also be releasing Norwegian pic "Jackpot," based on the tome by Jo Nesbo, and Viggo Mortensen thriller "Everybody Has a Plan" later this year.
