TLC will dive into the reality subgenre of celeb exes with "Starter Wives," ordering four hour-long episodes of the unscripted skein.
Series will explore the worlds of women once romantically linked to celebs like Floyd Mayweather, Lamar Odom, DMX and 50 Cent. All cast members have children with their famous exes.
Similar shows have carved out a niche space in the reality TV world primarily on VH1, where skeins like "Hollywood Exes," "Love & Hip Hop" and "Basketball Wives" have flourished. "Starter Wives" will mark TLC's first foray within the subgenre.
Cabler expects to bow "Starter Wives" early next year. NOLA is producing the series.
