FAVORITE FACES WILL IGNITE "DALLAS": When "Dallas" returns on Jan. 28 for its second season, two more members of the Ewing clan will be part of the explosive doings at Southfork. Gary and Valene Ewing, played by Ted Shackelford and Joan Van Ark, will be featured in a three-episode arc.
Actress Judith Light has also been cast on the series as a powerful woman who fights to protect the people she loves, and will use whatever tricks are necessary to make others do what she wants. While her character has not yet been identified, it's likely that the role is Ann's mother. And Kuno Becker, star of Mexican telenovelas, who has also appeared on the final season of CSI: Miami," has been cast as Andres, Elena's brother. The character is an army veteran and troubled young man who intends to follow in his father's footsteps and is drawn to the ranch by the quest for oil.
Lynn Herring, last seen on "General Hospital" in 2004, is back on the show as Lucy Coe. The character is involved in the storyline centered on the Nurses' Ball.
A new series created by former "All My Children" actor Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo) could bring real-life soap drama onscreen in the near future. ABC has purchased Duhamel's pilot about what happens behind the scenes at a daytime soap that's rumored to be canceled, and where the actors' lives are wackier than the storylines. Several production people from "Revenge" are involved with this exciting nighttime prospect.
