"Boys Don't Cry" (1999)

Director Kimberly Peirce had several gripes with the MPAA over her film based on the life and death of Brandon Teena, which was originally given an NC-17 rating. The rating was reduced to an R after some cuts to the film, not because of a brutal rape and murder scene, but rather the portrayal of Chloe Sevigny's character experiencing an orgasm. Bet the MPAA would really enjoy "Big Love."
