"Boys Don't Cry" (1999)

( Fox Searchlight Pictures ) Director Kimberly Peirce had several gripes with the MPAA over her film based on the life and death of Brandon Teena, which was originally given an NC-17 rating. The rating was reduced to an R after some cuts to the film, not because of a brutal rape and murder scene, but rather the portrayal of Chloe Sevigny's character experiencing an orgasm. Bet the MPAA would really enjoy "Big Love." |
