"How To Deal" (2003)

Mandy Moore's character Halley goes to one of those slightly-too-wild-and-therefore-kind-of-uncomfortable high school parties, where she obviously doesn't fit in. Instead of going home, she decides to go all the way with her pseudo-boyfriend, only to bail at the last minute and run out madly into the snow.<br> <br> <b>New Year's tidings?</b> Pretty terrible. Pseudo boyfriend wrecks the car while driving Halley home, dumps her at the hospital, and hits the road.
