Naya Rivera of ‘Glee’ engaged to rapper Big Sean

Naya Rivera is engaged to rapper Big Sean, the “Glee” actress revealed Thursday, flashing her new ring on the red carpet.

Rivera, whose character Santana on the musical show has a new love interest in the form of guest star Demi Lovato’s Dani, has been dating Big Sean (real name Sean Michael Anderson) for about six months, according to Just Jared, which first reported the engagement news.

The relationship is very 2013, having started on Twitter.

“I had followed him and he sent me a little message like, ‘I’m a fan,’” Rivera told “Access Hollywood” in September, when she also said she definitely saw marriage in her future. “I tweeted that I followed him, I was trying to get his attention.”

What a difference a DM can make.

She and the 25-year-old rapper went to dinner, she said, “and the rest is history.” They made their public debut in April at the premiere of the movie “42.”

The ring, which Rivera, 26, showed off at Latina magazine’s “Hollywood Hot List” event at the Redbury in Hollywood, looks to be “a princess-cut diamond surrounded with a halo setting,” according to a jewelry expert tapped by E! News who ballparked the size at about 3.5 carats.
