Greer’s OC: Back-to-school sales at HSS

Back-to-school shopping is already starting at Huntington Surf and Sport.

All four HSS stores will open Friday at 8 a.m. and the sale will continue through Sunday. A sidewalk sale will take place outside and prices in entire store will be reduced 20% to 50%. Select wetsuits are priced at $99.99, and customers will receive a free T-shirt with a $50 purchase.

HSS carries top brands like Hurley, Billabong, Volcom, Quiksilver, O’Neill, RVCA, Stussy, Matix and more.

Roberta Freymann opens OC shop

Internationally recognized style purveyor Roberta Freymann opened her first Roberta Roller Rabbit store in Orange County at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. And if you love cheerful, whimsical batik prints for home, bedding and fashion, this is your place.

The entire collection of Roberta Roller Rabbit was inspired by a piece of fabric in India that Roberta found depicting the fable of a magical rabbit. The line features colorful hand block printed kurtas, as well as bold print apparel for men, women and children, and home furnishings and accessories designed by Roberta with artisans in India.

Popular prints include graphics and florals named after people in Roberta’s life, and monkeys, elephants and fish reflecting Roberta’s love for children and the signature whimsical nature of the brand.

Roy’s offering best of summer menu

Roy’s Restaurantjust rolled out a prix fixe menu to celebrate summer’s freshest ingredients like heirloom tomatoes, rock shrimp, Steelhead trout and peaches. The three-course culinary experience blends summer-infused cuisine with Roy’s signature Hawaiian fusion style for $36.95 per person.

Appetizer choices include bulgogi chicken satays, rock shrimp and peaches and heirloom tomato and crispy mozzarella salad.
