The La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association’s first Happy Hour of the year was hosted by Lanterman House Museum. More than 40 intrepid floaters sipped beverages and glanced at Lanterman’s display of items evoking memories of the past 33 years, including the artist’s rendering of the first float, “Horse Play.”

Among the partygoers were Sherrill Carbonetti, Dave Moffett, Jean and Don Spomer, Richard Grippi, Nancy Thurston, Adene and Jim Misamore, Art Johnson, Sue Beatty, Adele and Will Hillyer, Harriett and Chuck Hughes, Mary and Daryal Gant, Diane and John Landrum, Carol and Bill Imbriale, Sharlyn French, Lynne and Joe Thompson, Bobbie and Clyde Hemphill, Pam Wiederbeck, Larry and Eremita Miranda Andreason, Fernando Rabelo, Denise Leiler, Becky and Chuck Gelhaar, Peggy Hotaling, Rose and Don Manning, Pat Foltyn, Chris Mott, Dave MacPherson, Brenda Gant and Jeff Hughes.

The next Happy Hour will be at the home of Stephanie and Jim Kambe, located at 826 Green Lane, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 25. No reservations are necessary, and anyone over 18 is welcome. Just bring an appetizer to share, and join your friends and neighbors in support of La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association’s 2012 float.
