Sting, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar are among the performers slated for the “2016 American Music Awards.” Gigi Hadid and “SNL’s” Jay Pharoah host from the Microsoft Theater. 8 p.m. ABC

#BostonStrong: The documentary “Marathon: The Patriots’ Day Bombing” shares survivors’ stories from the aftermath of the 2013 terrorist attack in Boston. 8 p.m. HBO

The eight-part series “Soundbreaking: Stories for the Cutting Edge of Recorded Music” continues and concludes. 10 p.m. KOCE; also Tue.-Wed.

“Macy’s 90th Thanksgiving Day Parade Special” looks back at nine decades-worth of floats, marching bands and those jumbo-sized balloon characters. 8 p.m. NBC

As if getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame weren’t honor enough, now there’s “The Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors.” Joe Mantegna hosts. 8 p.m. KTLA

The table’s set for “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” in this classic animated special. 8 p.m. ABC

The specials “Pearl Harbor — USS Oklahoma — The Final Story” and “Pearl Harbor — Into the Arizona” recall the Japanese attack on U.S. Navy base in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941. 8 and 9 p.m. KOCE

People, people who are “Chicken People” are the cluckiest people in the world in this documentary about a contest for folks who raise prize poultry. 8 p.m. CMT
