Where? There is some debate among "Beavis and Butthead"-heads, but it's widely believed that the series was set in a fictional town on the border of Texas and New Mexico. Only in Texas: Slackers on the par of Beavis and Butthead can be found in suburbs throughout America, so no one from Texas should take any offense. In fact, the series was a commentary more on the state of American suburbia as a whole than it was on any one place, with TV-obsessed boredom leading to increasing ignorance. Nevertheless, close watchers of the series have spotted Texas plates on cars, and the boys attend Highland High, which many have claimed could be set in the Dallas 'burb of Highland Park. Who wears cowboy hats? Heh -- the Los Angeles Times said "cow."
