Supernatural As this spooky dramedy returns for a 14th season, Dean (Jensen Ackles) is missing and possessed by the archangel Michael, and Sam (Jared Padalecki) is hunting for him. Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert also star. 8 p.m. KTLA

Grey’s Anatomy Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) shows up at work ready to go on a blind date when her shift is over in this new new episode of the medical drama. 8 p.m. ABC

The Good Place Sequestered on Earth, Michael (Ted Danson) and Janet (D’Arcy Carden) meddle in Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jason’s (Manny Jacinto) lives to remove any obstacles that might derail efforts to become better people in this new episode. 8:30 p.m. NBC

Young Sheldon When George Sr. (Lance Barber) asks Sheldon (Iain Armitage) to keep a secret from his mom (Zoe Perry), the stress of not being honest drives the young genius to Tam’s (Ryan Phuong) house for his first sleepover. 8:30 p.m. CBS

Mom Christy’s (Anna Faris) demanding law professor leans on her a little too hard while Bonnie (Allison Janney) tries to trick Adam (William Fichtner) into choosing her preferred wedding venue in this new episode. 9 p.m. CBS

Station 19 The second season of this drama opened with firefighters battling a raging inferno in a skyscraper. Tonight they try to rescue a little boy who fell into one of the giant water pipes that runs deep under the city. Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George and Grey Damon star. 9 p.m. ABC

Murphy Brown After Murphy (Candice Bergen) attends a sexual harassment seminar for the show’s staff, she is surprised to find herself reeling from a long-repressed memory in this new episode of the topical comedy. 9:30 p.m. CBS
