Conan O’Brien rides not-so-tough for ‘Sons of Anarchy’ opening

“Sons of Anarchy” is a tough show about tough men and women doing tough things. Basically, the polar opposite of Conan O’Brien.

But that didn’t stop O’Brien from strapping on leather and getting on his motorcycle to pay tribute to the FX drama, which is currently just three episodes away from its grand finale.

The cast of “Sons,” including Charlie Hunnam and creator Kurt Sutter, joined O’Brien and sidekick Andy Richter on his show following a stirring episode on Tuesday night that saw Jax (Hunnam) finally learning the truth behind the death of his wife and the real nature of Gemma (Katey Sagal).

But enough about the actors playing bikers, what about O’Brien? Did he look tough? Could he pull off a convincing cameo the way Stephen King did a few seasons back?

No and no.

He was so unconvincing, he couldn’t even walk into a cupcake shop without getting tossed out (watch the video above).

This isn’t the first time O’Brien has paid extended tribute to a favorite cable drama. Back in February, he hosted the cast of “The Walking Dead” and donned zombie makeup. Considering his normally pale complexion, that was much more believable.
