Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel among Webby Award winners

The late-night Jimmys, Fallon and Kimmel, are among the recipients of the 19th Annual Webby Awards, announced Monday.

Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” won Webby and Peoples Voice awards for best entertainment app and a Webby for best television website.

Kimmel’s “Mean Tweets” segment won a Webby for comedy in online film and video, while his “Halloween Candy Prank” bit, in which parents tricked their kids into thinking they’d eaten all their Halloween candy, won Webby and Peoples Voice awards in both viral and branded entertainment in online film and video.

Ellie Kemper and Tituss Burgess won the best actress and actor awards for their performances on Netflix’s original series “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” And “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Chelsea Peretti won the Webby for outstanding comedic performance for her Netflix comedy special, “Chelsea Peretti: One of the Greats.”

The Webbys are handed out by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences to recognized excellence in online content. This year’s panel of judges included Conan O’Brien, Arianna Huffington and Tumblr founder David Karp. The Webby Peoples Voice Awards were voted on by 500,000 Internet voters from around the world.

The dating website Tinder won the Webby for breakout of the year, and the viral sensation the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge won a special achievement award.

HBO Go won an award for best media streaming website, and Hulu won a Webby and People’s Voice award for streaming video mobile app and the Webby for media streaming website.

The winners will be honored during a ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on May 18. The show will be hosted by comedian Hannibal Buress and will be available through webbyawards.com on May 19.
