Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as the Season 9 coaches on NBC’s musical competition series “The Voice,” it was announced Wednesday.

Levine and Shelton have been “Voice” coaches since the series, one of the most reliable performers on the network’s prime-time schedule, began in 2011. Season 9 will be the third for Williams and the second for Stefani.

The show, hosted by Carson Daly, is set to begin the new season in September.

“With such an astounding group of coaches at the peak of their musical ingenuity and Carson returning as our host, we are thrilled for what season nine will bring,” Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming for NBC Entertainment, said in a statement.
