Dead on Campus A college student (Katelyn Tarver) is thrilled when she pledges the prestigious sorority, but her hazing requires her to seduce an introverted male student, and it ends very badly, in this new drama. Nicki Aycox and Tamara Duarte also star. 8 p.m. Lifetime

August: Osage County Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts were Oscar nominees for their first screen teaming, playing an estranged mother and daughter reunited by a family tragedy in the 2013 movie version of Tracy Letts’ play. 8 p.m. Showtime

300: Rise of an Empire Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green and Rodrigo Santoro star in this 2014 retelling of the movie “300,” from a different perspective. 10 p.m. Cinemax
