Fresh from announcing a Daniel Craig-led foray into the Jonathan Franzen universe, Showtime announced return dates for four of its programs and another potential newcomer.

The network announced a pilot order for “White Famous,” a new half-hour comedy about a young black comedian crossing over into broader mainstream fame. The series is co-produced by actor-comedian Jamie Foxx and Tom Kapinos, who created Showtime’s “Californication.” Foxx will not star in the series but will appear in a recurring role.

Showtime also announced that the sixth season of its drama “Homeland” will air in winter 2017 instead of its original fall time slot. The network’s returning shows for the fall include the drama “Masters of Sex,” which launches its fourth season Sept. 11, and the comedy “Shameless,” which begins its seventh season Oct. 2.
