It's been a rough couple of decades since creator Jim Henson's untimely passing in 1990. The Muppets got passed between companies like unwanted children, eventually ending up in the warm embrace of Disney Co. Many longtime fans worried the Muppets would lose their edge, but they breathed a sigh of relief when it was announced that Jason Segel was planning to co-write and star in a big-screen return to form. The film, and the goofy series of YouTube videos and trailers that preceded it, brought back a lot of the anarchic spirit of their late '70s heyday.
